Agricultural crops

Agriculture - a branch of the economy whose main task is to provide agricultural produce . Agriculture obtains plant and livestock products by cultivating soil and plants, and raising and breeding animals .

Agriculture can be divided into extensive agriculture (known as small-scale or traditional agriculture ) and intensive agriculture (also known as highly commercial or industrialized) depending on its characteristics: the amount of inputs, the amount of crops, as well as the average area of farms and the area of ​​the country's agricultural area.

The opposite is true with extensive farming. Extensive agriculture occurs where traditional forms of cultivation are still used and the country is underdeveloped (e.g. African countries). However, there are exceptions, for example Egypt - due to the controlled flooding of the Nile (thanks to the dam in Aswan) the yields are obtained from 2 to 4 times a year, so they are quite high, but the agriculture itself is extensive. In temperate climates in warm climates and in subtropical climates of a Mediterranean type, agriculture is more intensive when wheat, potatoes and sugar beet are grown in the country with significant crops. Intensive agriculture occurs in particular in highly developed countries, but which do not have a large area (e.g. the United States is characterized by extensive agriculture due to the large area of ​​agricultural land and a high average area of ​​farms, despite high expenditure, for example, on fertilization and irrigation), will be so they are highly developed countries of Western Europe (eg the Netherlands , Italy and the aforementioned France ).
